Malaysia is a bubbling melting pot of diverse races, cultures and religions. Besides being a gastronomical paradise, it also has some beautiful and interesting tourist attractions, including Georgetown, the Perhentian Islands, Mount Kinabalu, the Mulu Caves and the Petronas Twin Towers.

Mount Kinabalu is a well-known tourist attraction in Malaysia. With a summit height of 4,095 meters above sea level, it boasts the title of tallest mountain in Borneo. The mountain is protected as a World Heritage Site. It is home to tremendous biodiversity, with over 4500 species of plants, 300 species of birds and 100 mammalian species identified. This rich collection includes famous species like the big Rafflesia plant, which can weigh up to 10 kilograms, and the orangutan. Many have traveled long distances to climb this beauty.

The Petronas Twin Towers, in the country’s capital, is a top Kuala Lumpur tourist attraction. Up until 2004, it was the world’s tallest building. While then surpassed by Taiwan’s Taipei 101, it remains the tallest twin buildings in the world. The 88-floor towers’ steel and glass façade was designed to resemble motifs found in Islamic art. Its main feature is the double-decked skybridge which connects the two towers, and symbolizes a gateway to the future.

Kuala Lumpur City Gallery is the capital's latest tourist attraction. Located in a 113 year old building in the heart of the city's heritage enclave - Merdeka Square, it exhibits made to scale 3D replicas and wooden veneer models of the past, present, and future of Kuala Lumpur.

Chef Lim Organic Kitchen

Experts agree that going vegetarian or vegan is one of the best things that you can do for your health. Vegetarians or vegans are less prone to heart disease, certain forms of cancer, diabetes, obesity, and the list goes on.

These days, going vegetarian or vegan is easier than ever before. There are organic food stores where you can find yummy healthy food, with ingredients like fresh fruits, grains and soy. If you love eating out, switching to a vegetarian diet will not leave you stuck at home as organic restaurants offer a wide variety of cuisines. At Chef Lim Organic Kitchen in Kuala Lumpur, organic vegetarian eating and delicious cuisine go hand in hand. Using organic produce delivered fresh daily, the Chef creates mouth-watering dishes with unique, signature sauces.

Why choose organic? Well, by choosing organic, you will go a long way toward reducing your body's exposure to chemical residues. This is especially so for certain fruits and vegetables, which tend to be heavily treated. Government regulations define organic to mean that the use of pesticides, insecticides, herbicides and other chemicals is avoided or greatly restricted.

The second advantage is that fewer chemicals used in growing crops, means fewer chemicals ending up in our rivers and streams. Around the world, six billion pounds of pesticides are applied to food crops each year. We need to work together to make a change.
